5. Food Bank- Feeding Frenzy (XBOX Live Arcade). This achievement flat out stinks because it’s not challenging to get these food points in-game, it’s just an absolute bore to get enough to get to 40,000. The standard game of Feeding Frenzy will net you from about 700-800 food points, and we’re talking about completing every single level in full. It’s not hard to get more food points per level, you just have to have the will to commit fishy suicide to pad the numbers. Getting this achievement takes well over 100 hours and certainly about 35+ more runs of the game than you’re probably going to want to play. 4. Game Master- Finish the entire game without continuing while using default settings- Smash TV. This one is at a level of difficulty far beyond that of human skill. Think of it this way, have you ever played Smash TV without having to continue? It’s an arcade game. By design it’s meant to suck your quarters like a downtown parking meter. Hell, even finishing this game using continues is a feat unto itself. Again, we have an instance where the achievement is at a level unobtainable by humans. 3. Complete 99 Stages (standard mode)- Bomberman: Act Zero. Little needs to be said about this achievement beyond the fact that it’s at a near impossible level of difficulty, dare I say “inhuman.” One blast kills you instantly and there’s absolutely no way to save your progression. With each match going several minutes, this not only takes hours to complete, but it’s just not really fun. Given achievements are exactly that-- achievements. However, in the case of Bomberman, accomplishing this feat wasn’t designed with the American/human gamer in mind. |
