GR: Were the content providers pretty happy with this situation? In a medium where the end user can’t really do anything with the content besides watch it?

Greenberg: Oh they were ecstatic. When iTunes launched their movie download service, they launched with one partner—Disney. That was it. We were amazed at the response when we talked to these content providers. We’ve got Warner Brothers, who has TV and movies. That means they’re going to be bringing us things like Superman in high-def, they’re going to be bringing V for Vendetta. We’ve got Paramount Pictures bringing us Nacho Libre and Mission Impossible:3. We’ve got Turner who brings all the Adult Swim content. So Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, all that kind of stuff. CBS for the first time ever is bringing high-def TV downloads of their series. So CSI, Jericho, Numb3rs, all that stuff. Never before could you download all that stuff in hi-def. So it’s a lot of great content from these providers.

GR: So is it like iTunes in that we’ll be getting content turnaround the next day?

Greenberg: TV shows for the most part will be available the next day. Whenever they’re available for digital distribution. Movies obviously there’s a normal window, but TV shows will normally be available the next day.

GR: So obviously is this something that might go over to the Windows marketplace as well. Will there be some sort of integration there so people can purchase content to keep it and use it with both systems?

Greenberg: Well, right now what we’re doing is really specific to the XBOX 360. It’s also for the U.S. only, but the platform is built and we’re able now to get more locally relevant content on the market as we span across the world. We also, as you know, are doing things to bring the functionality of Live to Windows and mobile phones, and things like that. Right now, this entertainment strategy is really focused on adding TV, movies, and other entertainment content to the XBOX 360 experience.

GR: Thank you very much Aaron.

Greenberg: No problem.
