We told you yesterday about he woman who indicated she was a lesbian in her XBL profile and got banned on Xbox Live. Well, Microsoft has now come out to apologize to her and others who were banned due to their gamertags being associated with homosexuality in some form or other. Even a man whose real name is Richard Gaywood, who used that as his gamertag, was banned, as we told you. Microsoft needs to wakeup and smell the new millennium. Hopefully from now on, they will be more sensitive.

This had the makings of a PR disaster from the beginning. Glad to see they did the right thing.
