Chinese WoW Relaunch Sees Government Mandated Changes >
2009/08/07 13:23:25: Posted by DM
Blizzard has finally gotten the green light to re-open the juggernaut called World of Warcraft in China. This does not come without some rules and changes, though. The Chinese government has used their mighty censor bat to beat some stuff right out of the game. Some of these changes include bones being replaced by sandbags, blood now being colored black, and other death-related iconography has been removed outright. Why the Chinese government is so obsessed with not showing death or injury, we are not sure. We would think they would be more concerned with the free exchange of ideas and rudimentary virtual free markets the game provides. Oh well, welcome back Chinese WoW players!
