The World Cyber Games Grand Finals begin today in Singapore. The event features 700 gamers competing for 67 countries in a variety of games. Like most professional gaming, the WCG is mainly a PC competition, with events in Counter Strike: Source, Starcraft: Brood War, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Need for Speed Underground 2, and FIFA Soccer 2005. Console gaming does show up in some form though, with Halo 2 and Dead or Alive Ultimate, both for Xbox. You can even watch the finals on internet streaming TV with the WCG TV website that opens tomorrow.
