Well, they have to get back the money somehow, and selling xbox360 consoles is definitely not the way.

there are many people inbetween that raise the cost. We don't pick up the Controller at the factory do we? So it needs to be shipped. But it isnt shipped from factory immediatly to our retailers, but to WholeSale Guys. The Wholesale guys then sell it (with additional shipping costs) to the retailer, and the retailer needs to make some money too.

So yeah, you got shipping to wholesaler who makes some money selling it to the retailer where additional shipping fees come and our beloved retailer wants some food on the table aswell. And Microsoft wants to earn some money in this process, so i think its only normal it costs 1/5th to make.

That's smart by microsoft they can even out the loss pretty smart if you ask me. Nobody in their right mind expects to buy a next gen console controller for $11...

You seem to forget that almost all electronics are like that, so don't be suprised if the PS3 controllers are just like this.

Yea the ps3 controllers look so horrible they must cost like 3 bux to make =P Of course they'll sell for like $40+ though.

Still expect the ps3 controller to change come its release nobody liked it much.

Same i'd pay $50 for it as well best controller i've ever seen for a console. sure it bothers certain things from previous designs, but its perfectly done.

If it costs them 11 Bucks to make it then Cool. I love the Controller its the Best there is and feels so Natural to me. I would even Pay 100 Bucks if that was the case.

IMHO, the Xbox 360 controller is the greatest gaming controller ever manufactured. Microsoft has justified the high cost of the controller, seeing as how Sony's piece of crap will probably cost the same and not even compare to the comfort the 360 wireless controller provides. And this is coming from a huge Sony fan

They have to make money some how. You will pay 40 for that....why not complain about 60 bucks for a game. At least you will use your controller alot more.
