Ive never understood the appeal of FF (or most RPGs for that matter). Although, the last FF I played was FF1 on NES ... and didnt like it that much. Craps! They're up to 13 now?

Having said that. This will no doubt be a PS3 system seller in Japan.

At any rate I'm a big anime fan and final fantasy XIII and versus XIII are right up my alley so if Final Fantasy Versus XIII isn't announced for the 360 at TGS I'll buy a ps3. Final Fantasy XIII is a ps3 exclusive, but there is a very slim chance we'll see ff versus 13.

Also be careful in saying this will win the console war its amazing and a system seller yes, but GTA as an exclusive would've been much more beneficial for sony.

FF will sell 300,000 ps3's by itself. its the reason i bought a PS1, definally a factor for ps2 and should even out that god awful bluray(aka, i control all yo media)drive for the ps3. am i the only one who would prefer not to get teh bluray and save $200 in the process?

on a side note im glad they got rid of the girly lookin guys and finally just threw in a girl as the main toon. quick some1 make a nude patch for this already! LiNuX FTW

fanboys of other consoles meet your doom. PS3 doesn't need FF XIII, but with it, say hello to a big seaming pile of shit on Halo 3. (HalfLife 3 will also make it more awesome)

Halo3 will pwn as will FF13. all 3 systems will be well worth the cash so fanboys need to stfu, your doing a diservice to your respective console. also its not overpricing if you lose money fool. its not gas were talkin about here.

I personally can't get over the cultural barrier with the FF games, the dialog is awkward, I don't understand the motivation of the characters, and all the dudes look like bitches. No amount of CG wizardry can get me to enjoy what is basically the worlds longest and most repetitive anime movie.

Don't even compare a final fantasy game to halo again... that just makes no god damn sense. You know how well halo sells right? It will do alot better this time around. FF13 wont sell 300,000 ps3's by itself... it will sell millions of ps3's by itself :)

Nomura is an amazing character designer man.. he's the guy that drew cloud, sephiroth etc to my knowledge. The games look too god damn cool not to buy them as I said if the 360 doesn't see any final fantasy games I'm definetly buying a ps3.

First that is highly biased. "Best" console.. ROFL. Maybe PS3 will be better this time around, power wise Xbox was the "best" console, and it didn't have Final Fantasy. Also Final Fantasy was just brought to the 360... so you are saying 360 is the best console?

Also if you read more FF games are coming to the 360, so.. 360 will continue to be the best is what you are telling me? Seriously though, FF is coming to multiple systems, maybe not FFXIII right away, but anyways...

Didn't XII come out before Halo 2 like after Halo 1. I saw no difference in sales I believe at all from FF. That is like saying "OMG that guy bought an apple, banana sales are going to go down". Different games, different genres, different systems. I don't believe their will be an impact either way.

I have read (some time ago) about a possibility that next Ninja Gaiden becomes multi-platform. That would be a knock for M$.

It is strange, what keeps Sony third party exclusives titles being exclusives? it can NOT be money (only) because M$ have loads, Iam intrigued.

I'll echo the idea that this simply doesn't look "next gen." It looks like PlayStation. The 360 has left Sony in the dust, period. If you are that hardcore about eastern RPGs, then drop your $600-800 on this system. Quality, cost and development, all 360.

Welll... Playstation3 and Xbox 360 both have their ups and downs. Playstation goes with Blu-ray (which is a lot better than HD DVD but more expensive) and has different games, but Xbox 360 is versatile and inexpensive. If no one likes Nintendo then i'd rather there be at least these two consoles.

Morons can be nice people too though lol. They still probley wont appreciate FF however. Same story goes for WOW and FFXI. FFXI is by far a better game, but people play WOW more then 11 because of a) popularity of warcraft in gaming communities b)they never actually tried ffxi for over a month. and the most popular choice c) its too hard for they're tiny tiny brains to handle. Yes its a harder game, and also a better feeling of accomplishment. The graphics are even better then WOW's kiddish cartoon themes. I bought WOW the first day it came out, I thought it would be awesome also. It turned out to be lame dull repetitive xp grinding or lame quests for xp. The fighting is hardly strategic, you could point click and the fight is over in a few seconds anyway. Theres no risk to die and lose xp on one fight repetivly, only on the occasional boss that is 10 lvls higher then you. Its a stoners MMORPG. "Whoa dude cool" Keep it going there Blizzard. FF OWNS ALL BISHES!!!

FF is the players that were in high school that played chess, debated,were leaders in the school in a bad or good way, the smart people. Not neccisarily the 4.0 people, just the people that stood out above the sheep. WoW once again is basically the football player crowd. "Du huh hehe huh hu huhuhh". Obviously that makes the bigger population so they have more players. Which works for us FF players cause we all need big dumb oofs to handle our delivery of pizza's and marine infantry to run in front of the smart officers in the back planning. IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND FF OR LIKE IT, YOUR INTEL NEEDS A BOOST OF STATS.Now get off the FF bashing jock strap cause you just look ignorant......
