President OF Venezuela Says Mercs 2 Is Prep For US Invasion >
2006/05/25 9:46:40: Posted by DM
We usually do not post news of this nature, but this one is just too juicy to pass up. The President of Venezuela is claiming that the game Mercenaries 2, which features a fictional invasion of his country, is the opening shot in a war by the US to overthrow him and his regmine in real life. He is claiming this this is just the first step to get US citizens "psychologically prepared" for a real life move based on the game's takeover scanrio. God, the rest of the world really hates the US, don't they?

First, bitchez!

Chavez needs to shut his mouth, before he bites off waaaay more than he can chew.

That, Test, is exactly the 'tude that has so endeared the US to the rest of the world lately.

As a human being, why should we as Americans, Canadians, Germans, Italians, etc. have to take crap from anybody, especially from a wack job Chavez? He obviously takes things way to seriously...hence claiming that a video game is a precursor to a political hostile takeover.

Which is basically the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

I thought we did that to Panama! Chavez and his reforms and anti-american slogans are just to idiotic to understood. If that's the case then Mexico (GRAW) President (Fox) would be speaking to the nation sometime soon. But, Fox, is not that type of president; actually he has been a good leader for Mexico (According to prior-Presidents).

All you except Rabbit are pretty stupid people!!

Maybe you are only FOXnews puppets. Do you even know where Venezuela is? I like PS3 and I liked Mercs 1 (even it was in North Korea) but it is becoming extremely suspicious that this company takes only countries which are under political pressure by USA goverment. In resume you all maybe just too ignorant or only kids but for us South American who really loves to live in peace and not destroying others countries for stealing its resources

this game is sounding like pure propaganda.

To Hell2Pay: Fox is not more than a servant of USA companies, he is no capable to defend their own people.

Iam sure he doesnt care about Mejico dignity.

I'm confused Rasta, calling Test on being a blowhard makes me stupid?

Also, to be fair, can you think of any nations that aren't under pressure from the US for somthing.

Regarding Rabbit, If you think wiki makes a good source I have some excellent alien bodies to sell you.

hehehe, sorry Jon. I didnt even see your post.

You have make some good points but no so good as you may think :D. Chavez and his people perhps are overeacting, but its well known how bad USA-Venezuela relations turned to in recent times. This makes people of the much smaller country (in this case Ven) very nervous about this apparently little thing. Ven, till know, never have been scenary of ANY kind of prolongued conflict unlike our brothers of Colombia, Venezuelans are not used to that.

Well, Rabbit at least didnt say nothing stupid.

It's a gimmick, I'm sure it's parent company is using the game's scenario in an effort to attract this kind of attention to the game itself. Unfortunately, Chavez is falling for it hook, line, and sinker. Either that, or he's trying to stir up conflict where there doesn't need to be any by using something as ridiculous as a video game plot to suit his political agenda. I highly doubt any invasion will EVER occur on Venezuelan soil by the States, EVER. First, there would have to be UN Sanctions, and a REASON for them. Chavez running his mouth probably isn't reason enough to warrant UN intervention. Saddam had 17, or 18 sanctions before the Iraq scenario happened. He killed thousands of his own people. I really don't think the majority of America would even care enough about Venezuela to even bother taking part in something like removing a blow hard like Chavez from office.
