	Square has responded to the recent news item that stated they are working on a successor to FFXI for both the XBox360 and PS3. To noone's surprise, they have denied the rumor. They go even further and claim that they are developing an MMORPG for the next-gen consoles, but it is a brand new IP, not FF related. >Link

It should go back to its roots, its not the reason why Final Fantasy became popular, most of their true fans aren't focus on online crap, leave that to the rest of the other genres/series
