Just a quick heads up for our overseas readers, it seems that Dead Rising is indeed region free. We normally would not bother with such news, but a lot of our readers have been asking if this game is region free due to the release date differences and the great demo. Keep an eye on the forum thread in the link.UPDATE: Apparenty this game is NOT region-free, according to this thread: so buy at your own risk.

i wished in the sega saturn era things be like that,,,REGION FREE. i miss guardian heros and shinning force 3 because of those restricions.

For those of you who want a more concrete answer, I can confirm that the US copy does indeed work on NTSC-J console.
