Fable 2: The World & New Engine >

The official Lionhead website has posted a piece entitled Fable 2: The World and New Engine. This article details the new engine that Lionhead will be using for the game, as well as the World that players will be questing in. One disappointing fact is that the world will still be more or less on rails. Oh well.

The first fable was a series of areas in which you could move around in until you got to the end of the area and the next area would load up. Path ways in which you could roam around in.

The game is basically still setup that way, but this time you have A LOT more environment to explore. You don't have as much roaming freedom as you do in a game like Elder Scrolls and to be honest I kinda like it better that way especially given the type of game Fable is.

Fable just loosely controls the environments in which you can roam around in.

I was really hoping the game would be free roaming this time around. The "fenced in" areas of the last game kinda put me off...
