Lumines Live Hits XBLA Tomorrow > |
2006/10/17 22:38:14: Posted by Josh | |
The long awaited XBOX Live Arcade title Lumines Live will be hitting the marketplace tommorrow. The news comes just in time for you to get your fix after a day without XBOX Live (I know, it's been hard on me too). The cost is 1200 MS points for the main title, plus an additional 600 if you want some extra content like skins and background music. This makes it the most expensive Live Arcade title to date (bonus content included), however it might be the most full featured as well. Full press release after the jump.

I believe this is too much money for an Xbox Live Arcade game. The most I am willing to spend for a good game is 800 points. I agree with the people who say that 800 points for high quality games with 32-bit graphics is a reasonable price, 400 points for 16-bit graphics, and 200 points for 8-bit graphics.
I think that Microsoft is still testing the water to see what prices will work on Xbox Live Arcade, so I understand why they might want to test this price out with Lumines. But I hope they are willing to lower the prices of games that don't sell well at higher prices.
