We have a bit of MGS4 for you today, this is the developer running MGS4 on the Playstation 3 dev kit at TGS, while speaking about it in the background. This pretty much shows the power of the PS3 unit, and there are even english subtitles. Click on the news title for the video. (Thanks, Bumppy)

What's funny is that Gears of War looks better technically, but not in art style which Kojima nails. The environments in the MGS4 trailer SUCK, but everyone is soo distracted by the gorgeous character models to give it any thought.

that is true, the character models are great, but yes the enviornment is rather bland. i bet once the game hits retail it will be less character and more enviornment, more equal

If you listen to the whole first video, they stated that the background is intentionnaly blured to create deep effect. Just as when you look at your finger in front of your nose, your focus is on your finger so it appear clear and the background is fuzzy. I think this isn't a good feature, in a FPS you need to be able to see all the environement. The farther the better...

That's a really funny excuse for poor looking environments.

Seriously whenever people start talking about how impressed they are with gears of war someone always refers to this metal gear trailer saying the 360 wont be able to touch such graphics to kill the enthusiasm, but I mean the 360 is the one showing these impressive gears of wars visuals in actual gameplay if anything the ps3 is the one that should have to step up to the plate because the 360 has been showing off what we can expect in gameplay for quite some time.

i not convince this is real time ps3... if you seen the whole mgs4 trailer no gameplay everything is scripted out with predictable camera angles this is just a mere CG CRAP.
