	According to a page on the Ubisoft France website, Ubi is actively seeking a developer to continue the Redsteel project. The press release then goes on to explain just what the developer will have to work on. Frankly, we did not think the first RS was that great, but then again, that fact never stpped a sequel before. >Link

Hopefully they'll do better this time around.

i haven't played red steel so this is a pure guess maby its selling well because it is the first fps using the Wiimote even if its not that great, so maby a sequel won't do so well if its not amazing.

it's still third or fourth in sales..., a sequel makes enough sense, and unlike many sequels it can really only get better ;)

Indeed. I was never one who had high hopes for red steel but their are some aspects of its style which are appealing for a sequel. Hopefully they will put more thought into its control scheme and rely less on the controller as the focus point this time.

yep this is actually only a good thing from my perspective.

RS was one of the more expensive Wii games (12+ million); probably next to ZTP. They need to amortise the development costs over many titles as the market will bear by recycling the game assets.

I think they should skil to Red Steel 3, because there were so many things wrong with the first one that there is no way they could solve them in just one sequel...Just look at all the poor reviews. If three is really "the charm" then maybe they will get it right by then.
