	To noone's surprise, it seems that the Xbox360 was the top selling hardware this past Christmas season. This is certainly due to the extreme Wii and Playstation 3 shortages, as the 2007 progresses we will see just who is the real front runner. >Link

Playstation 3 shortages... in 3 first weeks maybe.

In 2nd week of December you couldnt throw a stone and not to hit Pukestation box...

been to 8 stores yesterday, 6 of them had ps3s in stock. when an associate and i interviewed a manager at the best buy, she told us that they got the shipment 4 days ago and have maybe sold one console. they had 23 systems yesterday and needed to put all but 4 up in storage because they were taking up too much room and not selling fast enough to warrant the space.

i honestly never expected the ps3 demand would die down this close to launch.

great news for the 360 though. the real test will be next christmas season.

Hello Fellow Gamers. Well.. It seems as though M$ has met the 10 Million Units SOLD By DEC 31.

@Kenny K - That was said last holiday season (2005) about this past holiday season (2006) & M$ is still top Dog. & Now you want to wait another year (2007) again. That'll be a 2yr Head start on Sony & Nintendo.

Th Sales of the X360 won't stop just because the other two (PS3/Wii) are out. In fact it might entice people even more to purchase a X360 now that they can have hands-on side by side comparisons.

its not a 2 year head start when the competition is out.

the real test will be how each console sells on a month to month bases. <- this is no opinion, but instead fact.

im not saying the 360 wont do great, but it will be interesting to see which of the 2 will be a top seller next christmas between the 360 and ps3. the Wii cant be put in the same category because of the price and market difference.

The Xbox 360 is in such high demand right now, because it has more great games now than it ever has before, and it continues to get more and more awesome games every day.

Just the thought of the Xbox 360 2007 lineup is enough to put a HUGE smile on my face!

It is such a great thing to RIGHT NOW be able to play games like Gears of War, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, Call of Duty 2 & 3, Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham Racing 3, both Need for Speed games, Burnout: Revenge, all the EA Sports and 2K Sports games with controllers that rumble and the ability to talk to the people you are playing against online using the headset included with the system.

But when you consider that we will soon get Xbox 360 games like Lost Planet, and then Crackdown, and then get games like Mass Effect, Bioshock, the Halo 2 360 updates, Halo Wars, Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto 4 with controller vibration, Assassins Creed, the Marvel Universe online game, and the Battlestar Galactica online game, Forza Motorsport 2, and Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey....my goodness, 2007 will be AWESOME for the Xbox 360!!!

Consider how wii came close to 1.8 mil approx with 360's 2 mil :>

I've been reading this site for about 7 months now and never posted. It makes me happy that the 360 is doing well, but on the other hand I hope ps3 hangs in there because competition drives companys to continue to produce great games. Unbiased I'm sorry but you certaintly aren't unbiased. That's cool your name just gives the wrong impression. I do agree with you on the excitment of the 360's line-up. I wish they were out now, then again I'd be broke. Also to everyone, is it true that they did meet the mark of 10 mil?
