PRESS RELEASE

SAN RAFAEL, CA, February 8, 2007 – Interactive entertainment pioneer Telltale, Inc. announced today that the third installment of their episodic Sam & Max game series is now available for Windows XP and Vista users worldwide. Episode 3, “The Mole, the Mob, and the Meatball,” can be purchased from Telltale’s website (www.telltalegames.com) for $8.95 individually, or as part of the Sam & Max: Season 1 collection for $34.95. Customers who have already bought the full season will find download instructions for episode 3 at www.telltalegames.com/samandmax/seasonactivation.

“The Mole, the Mob, and the Meatball” takes Sam & Max deep into a subversive toy-racketeering operation to look for an undercover mole who has suddenly gone silent. Before they can crack the case, the anthropomorphic crime-fighting duo will need to prove their worth to Don Ted E. Bear by becoming members of the Toy Mafia. Episode 3 screenshots, trailers, and a “try before you buy” demo can be found at www.telltalegames.com/samandmax/meatball.

Episode 3 is the second of Telltale’s Sam & Max games to be compatible with Vista. Released in January, Episode 2, “Situation: Comedy,” is also playable on the new Windows operating system. A Vista-friendly version of the pilot episode, “Culture Shock,” will be released in the next few weeks and will be made available for no additional charge to all existing “Culture Shock” customers.

“One of the great benefits of the episodic model is that we can constantly improve the player’s experience,” says Telltale’s CTO Kevin Bruner. “We can update each new episode with any fixes we made to the earlier episodes, including the tweaks necessary for Vista compatibility. Digital distribution makes it easy for us to get these enhancements out to our customer base quickly.”

Today’s release marks the halfway point for the six-episode Sam & Max: Season 1. The series has been cited by gaming press and players alike as the first true episodic gaming experience, and has caught the attention of mainstream press, from the New York Times and London’s Sunday Times, to Playboy and Australian Penthouse. The remaining Sam & Max episodes will be released on www.telltalegames.com on a monthly basis through May. Each Sam & Max episode runs exclusively on Turner Broadcasting’s GameTap service for two weeks before its worldwide release on Telltale’s website.

Customers who have already purchased one Sam & Max episode from Telltale are eligible to upgrade to the full season for $26. More information on this offer can be found at www.telltalegames.com/store/samandmax-season1-upgrade.
