	Here is in interesting e-mail we got today. Apparently there was some charges made in error regarding the Xbox Live service and Marketplace. These errors led to a gamer overcharging,and now MS is attempting to refund these monies. Unfortunately, for now, that is all the information they gave. We will attempt to find out just what the heck is going on so stay tuned. UPDATE: Apparently, Microsoft was charging gamers tax when they purchased marketplace points with a credit card, even if they purchased the points from outside the USA! Oh boy. i got one of these emails last night.

I didn't think I was supposed to be paying tax on online charges made with my credit card, since I'm in Canada. My WoW subscription was never charged tax. Someone needs to tell Nintendo this! I pay 14% tax on all my Wii points I buy with my credit card. I thought it was kind of fishy when I saw, but this confirms it!

I didn't get an email like this, but that is probably because I live in the United States.

I am glad this error was found and corrected.

The problem was that when purchasing the points, Live listed the prices as "taxes included" for Canadians, but when they billed our credit cards, the tax was added on top.
