Bioshock Release Date Pushed, Dated >

	According to an update on 2K Games' Cult of Rapture site, the release date for BioShock (X360, PC) has slipped to Tuesday, August 21. The game was originally supposed to hit retail shelves sometime in June. This is all courtesy of community manager Elizabeth Tobey. Let's hope it does not slip any further. >Link

im confused, how can a game be pushed back when no "official" release has been announced before?

easy, read the part that says:

"release date for BioShock (X360, PC) has slipped to Tuesday, August 21. The game was originally supposed to hit retail shelves sometime in June"

well i did read that, i just thought that was the "expected" release date and not the actual date mentioned by either the dev or publisher, sorry didnt try to question your logic.

@Kenny K - *You* are right - no date was [as far as I know] given.

Xbox 360 has plenty of great games in every genre right now, so I think it is good that the developers are taking a little bit of extra time to make sure that they get the game as perfect as all the hype indicates it will be.

At the 2006 E3, there were only a handful of games that received what several websites have called, "Ultimate Hype."

Those games were Gears of War, Mass Effect, and Bioshock.

Gears of War is the most successful next-gen game released, and it lived up to all of that hype.

The way that hype and expectation continues to grow for Mass Effect and Bioshock, I am just SOOOO excited!!!

No date was given, but the latest official trailer said "coming spring 2007"

All I care about iz 'Mass Effect'...

this will be big, waiting to see if its my type of FPS
