According to a post over on the Shadowrun official forums, the split-scren mutiplayer mode of Shadowrun has been cancelled. That's right folks, no local multiplayer. This is a very alarming trend that we see emerging. We need to let devs know that this no local multiplayer bs is not acceptable ASAP. Let your voices be heard!

this sucks for those who play splitscreen. i personally cant stand it.i am curious about LAN though, this game better support LAN or i will be pretty pissed and probably not buy the game at all. although online is great and convenient, nothing beats a good LAN party. at least there could be some local play if LAN is included.

Very, very true DMI am getting seriously worried about this myself, its really getting annoying, I have 2 brothers and we all love to play games, but with most 360 local play options seemingly half done, the 360 is now the online/solo console for myself. Gears of war does not have 3 or 4 players split screen on local play, but only 2, what is the point of only having 2 player local system? Especially on a game like gears with no respawn system. On GRAW when you have 2 people BOTH players are forced to be in first person mode, even though the games are made for a third person perspective. You lose some moves (bend around walls) and you don't even see your gun, just the cursor/aimer.
The one that really annoys me right now is crackdown. Even though crackdown has co op online you can not have co op on local player, something GTA: San Andreas achieved, on pS2, and not only that, on the back of crackdown's box it EXPLICITLY states that you can have co op on local player. I am seriously thinking of complaining to Microsoft over that one because as far as I'm concerned that is false advertising. If this seems like an anti 360 post its not. Just that its the one starting the trend. I only have zelda and wii sports for the wii and PS3 is not out in Europe so don't know if Resistance suffers from this. Finally, the big problem about this is the fact that game reviewers are not pointing this stuff out. They are supposedly informing me about a product yet they don't even point out flaws like this. It takes a blog like this one to mention it.

i agree with basically all of what G said, it doesnt bother me but it is becoming a trend with all the systems. also G, AFAIK RFoM does have split screen 2 player co-op but im not too sure about other split screen options. as for crackdown, i think the co-op local play is refering to co-op over LAN.

**Also I have heard there is NO campaign either via xboxfanboy.com****LAN will be included**
Maybe K, but on the back of the box it says with the green font (general features) that co op 2 players/hard drive required, and then in the red font, (online features) online co op 2/hard drive required. Stating them twice, both in online mode and offline mode is a bit misleading though it could mean system link.
Its not a make or break feature, I still enjoy playing the game and playing online co op as I did with you the other day, but its also nice to play with siblings/friends who just come over once in a while.

i agree entirely G were on the same page but with different features. i dont care for split screen but i LOVE LAN. also there never was going to be a campaign in shadowrun, it was always meant to be a MP only title.
