do we have to buy a new guitar or is it just gonna be like a new disc?

You'll be able to use Xbox360's guitar. As for PS3, will have to buy new (bluetooth?) guitar of course.

I'm sure that you would be able to use the adapter (12$ @ radio shack IIRC) w/ your PS2 Guitar (wired) for the PS3.

Doubt it. Guitar Hero 2 doesn't even work properly on the Playstation 3. And being the greedy bastids that they are, RedOctane (or MTV now?) will probably force gamers to buy new controllers.
