According to NextGen, a new PSP is definitely on the way. According to the industry buzz, Sony is working up a lighter, smaller, version of its handheld device. No definite facts like release date or price have bene rumored, but it is said that Sony will be sticking with the UMD format. Rumor mill for now.

why july, whats happening in july? i hope this isnt true, sony doesnt need a new handheld out there, the psp is just fine. the one part that i would believe is the continued use of UMD, this would help with BC which we all know sony will want on the psp2 or whatever it's called.

the only adjustment the psp needs is a second "nub" but tou only really need that for FPS's and handheld don't really need Fps's

@ kenny kit wont be a New Psp.. just a smaller lighter more sleek unit.. and cheaper.. just like with what nintendo did with DSand July is E3...

they have to change the location of the nub because it kills my thumb! that's why i can't play it for longer than 30 minutes at a time and it's also the reason why i haven't touch my psp in about a year.

True, as high-res as the PSP screen is (compared to the other portable systems ;) ) it suffers from ghosting...
