	This Playstation 3 promo image appeared on the net recently, although the site that originally posted it appears to be unreachable. Now, if you look closely at the image, you will distinctly notice a famous Twisted Metal type icon. Hint: look at the shape of the mushroom cloud. Rumor mill for now, but this is encouraging! >Link

We live in the 21st century; a mushroom cloud could mean anything. I don't think it is related to this game series, because Sony didn't show it at E3. Sony showed ALL of their cards at E3, because of their desperation. If this does represent a game, it won't be available until sometime until late 2008 or 2009. I don't think this game will get the attention that games like Final Fantasy do, though, because there is quite a HUGE difference in quality and reputation between the Final Fantasy game series and the Twisted Metal game series.

Excuse me but where are the countless other first party titles that they haven't shown yet that have me intrigued? Just to name a few: God of War 3, Team ICO's next project, The Getaway, The Agency, Eight Days, and plenty more. If you say Sony showed all their cards, then MS did the same at E3 by showing off Halo 3 along with a special edition console with halo 3 accessories and so on. Along with the showing of gameplay footage of multi-platform games and only a few video showings of first-party titles.

Actually today in Sony's Playstation Pr3miere, they showed off even more games that weren't shown at E3! A playable demo of MGS4 and White Knight Story were shown. And the announcement of Dynasty Warriors 6, a new game from the creator of Katamari Damacy, 2 new games from Sega, new videos of FFXIII and FFVXIII, and plenty more were shown today. This is still the beginning of a big hype train for Sony. Hopefully they can keep up this momentum all the way through the holidays

I agree with UTP. Sony's show was more or less a desperation show. Most everything they showed was coming out late this year, or early half of next year. Everything they've shown in Pr3mier that you've spoken of, blah, will not be available until next year. And why didn't they show God of War 3? Simple: they've barely started work on it.

And jockss2, you have fanboy written all over you with that post. "good guys"? I didn't know this was a battle between good and evil... I have nothing against fanboys, but geez...

Anyways going back on topic (which seems to be a rare thing here lately). Twisted metal black was one of favorite games. Can't wait to see what they do on the PS3 this time!

I never said I wasn't a fanboy. You're reading too much into that... I'm just pointing out the irony of someone blasting someone else for being a "fanboy" when it's pretty obvious they are one themselves.

No, Unbiased is worse because he will spin any story, regardless of what it is into a negative...even if it is a positive when it involves the PS3. He can't just let fans of whatever console read news and comments that pertain to the actual story posted. Every post he makes has to disparage the PS3. He must be a sad, pathetic, lonely human being. He's very defensive of the 360. If he were so confident, wouldn't he just let the 360 speak for itself? Perhaps Moore leaving along with the 3 year warranty has shaken his confidence.

My banning from the forum still confuses me. I posted a humorous gif (non offensive, non name calling) and next thing you bam, banned. That's ok. Unbiased seems to be the hero of this board which is quite sad really. Enjoy your convuluted spin.

im not trying to be fanboyish but i do hate utp ad his spins of stories and him being all over the ps3 boards..he must be insecure about the 360 so thats why i say stuff like that... with all the time he's spent typing over here he could have got a day job make some money and have all 3 systems...there he wouldn't he so gay and annoying

Second, blah, with all due respect, you really do need to improve your long-term memory skills. The developers of God of War 2 said SIX MONTHS AGO that they had not yet started the planning of God of War 3!!! They said the earliest you would see it was sometime in 2009. And that was half a year ago!

Let's just say that for the sake of argument, God of War 3 has recently started the planning stage of development. That means you wouldn't see it until late 2009!!! And with the PS3's reputation for MAJOR DELAYS (Rainbow Six: Vegas, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2) and CANCELLATIONS (Fatal Inertia, Beautiful Katamari) we probably would not see God of War 3 until late 2009 or sometime in 2010.

In other words, I'm not saying Sony will never be dealt the card of God of War 3...I'm just saying they do NOT have it in the current hand of cards they are playing with!!!...and they won't have it dealt to them anytime soon!!!

You guys are retarded. UTP said Sony showed all of their big guns, when all of them havent even been shown. Thats what I mean't about games like God of War 3. Did I even say that it will come out this year or next? No. I said that its one of the big cards Sony has yet to show, including the other games I mentioned. The current cards have been dealt I know that, but it wasn't in desperation. They are obligated to do it so they could have at least a good amount of sales this holiday. They know they are up against Halo, they know they are up against Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but their killer app is not going to be there for the holidays.

I'm just saying that they've just shown the beginning of what i think is going to be a continuous put out of good games. MGS4, Killzone 2, GT5 and the other first party titles due for 2008 are going to be great. So are the titles for this year as well, like UT3, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Haze. Just because Sony showed off Killzone 2 at E3 doesn't mean they are desperate. People have been wanting to see Killzone 2 for 2 years now, and now when they show it off its called being desperate? Its so funny how bad you guys want Sony to be down on the ground. You guys do realize that the more competetion rises = the number of great games will rise on all platforms. I hope every company is successful this generation, because I don't want just Nintendo to be the soul survivor. Also just in Microsoft lost about $2 billion in their Home Entertainment division..not a good sign for their profit promise for this fiscal year. Sony is also losing even more money.

Both companies need to bounce back and get their divisions profitable so we won't have to worry about them being discontinued.
