EA Wants To Make Sure 2K's AP Football Is 'Not Repeatable' >
2007/07/27 15:40:44: Posted by DM
Not content to enjoy their Madden profits, EA's CEO John Riccitiello basically commented that EA needs to make sure that 2K's All Pro Football is 'not repeatable.' The implication is that EA may file some sort of lawsuit, on what grounds though, we are not sure.

"When you've got a competitor like Take-Two on the sports side, and they launch a football title using some of the industry legends, you want to make sure that ends up being a blip and is not repeatable, because we like to defend our franchises aggressively."

EA said...because we like to defend our franchises aggressively." In others words....We like to have no competition because all of our games are mediocre/rehashed garbage.

APF 08 is better than Madden and NCAA football, but most people won't give the game a chance without real teams. Keep making that ReHaSHED horse shit EA....EA's so scared of 2k football.

They know the tables would turn if 2k was allowed to have a REAL NFL football game. Nobody should be allowed to buy the NFL license IMO. F*CK EA

actually ea is one of the biggest competitor to third party, and there is a reason to that, its cause lot of ppl buy their games, which means they like their games, which mean wether it sucks or not, they made it top level so jb33 i know you hate their monopoly strategy but u just dont talk like fanboyish,

TRUST ME I NEVER LIKE PLAY EA, beside their FPS , since im a fan of any FPS !!!

EA took the easy way out. Instead of making a good football game and improving it year on year.. they bought exclusive rights to the NFL license and bank on that to make sales. They know a lot of people will only buy the officially licensed games.. its not like the Madden series is better than APF.

Im just glad that i hate American football.

hopefully the nfl tells the F* right off, i don't see how the nfl could own the names/rights of retired players.

I agree...All Pro-Football 2K8 on the Xbox 360 is an AWESOME game!!!

Remember, it isn't just Madden Football 2008 that runs at a smooth 60 frames per second on the Xbox 360, but "struggeles to run at 30 frames per second," on the Playstation 3.

Madden got the most attention, because that is the most popular series.

However, it is the EXACT same thing with NCAA College Football 2008 from EA, and ALSO All-Pro Football 2K8 from 2K Sports...ALL of those games run at 60 frames per second very smoothly on the Xbox 360, but only 30 frames per second on the PS3.

I am telling you right now, I am a huge football fan, and this is overall the BEST year EVER for Football, because of the AMAZING PERFORMANCE of the Xbox 360 versions of the three football games.

I hope this isn't the last year for All-Pro Footbal 2K8, though.
