'Joust' Movie, New Company To Focus On Under 25 Gamers >
2007/08/27 10:57:58: Posted by DM
You read the title right, folks. A simple game like Joust, you would think, how could this make a decent movie? Well, CP Productions, a new Hollywood company, is going to try. Producers Christine Peters and Michael Cerenzie are on board, and they have worked on such films as How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and Blackout. How those movies warrant a new production company which will focus on bringing a number of new and classic games to the big screen and comic books, we are not sure. In addition, the company will package its sci-fi, fantasy and horror movies with videogames.

"Joust is an arcade game that's as old as Pac-Man and has global awareness," said Cerenzie. "We took one element of the game and the brand itself and built a whole new world around it for the film."

Ugh... one element of the game? If it's not the actual jousting... what the hell is it? If it is... then how is it any different from ANY joust-related movie? :/ Lame.
