Interactive Entertainment will publish Project Origin, the videogame sequel to the hit game F.E.A.R., developed by Monolith Productions for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows®. The name was chosen by the fans, as they submitted entries and then voted for the winning submission.
“Project Origin is the name we can stand behind since it was picked by the gaming community, and this game marks a new beginning for the franchise,” says Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “With the consoles and the PC, we’re dedicated to add a new game dynamic to the universe and build upon what the players loved about the original game.” “Our team really enjoyed letting the fans drive the naming process, and we are excited to expand upon the work we began in the original game and establish Project Origin as a premier gaming franchise in its own right,” said Troy Skinner, Producer, Monolith Productions. The sequel will continue the original game’s spine-tingling supernatural suspense story of an escalating paranormal crisis that threatens to destroy a major American city. At the center of the calamity is the mysterious Alma, whose rage against those who wronged her triggered a chain of events that have spiraled completely out of control. Now that she has free reign, the consequences will be unimaginable. About Monolith Productions Monolith Productions, a Warner Bros. F.E.A.R. is an AWESOME game with great performance on the Xbox 360 and PC...But, the Playstation 3 version of F.E.A.R. that was recently released offers very poor performance...it has framerate problems, disappoint textures, slowdown, every sort of problem imaginable...and just like the majority of other PS3 games, it doesn't let you talk online while playing, even though the Xbox 360 version does.
At least the developers of Project Origin (which is actually, F.E.A.R. 2) had the intelligence to change the name...unlike the developers of Killzone 2. With Killzone 2 people always say, "Why would you make a sequel to such a poorly rated game." Seriously, they should have given that game a different name, too.

well my brother got fear recently and its all right i guess since I'm just playing it i can see its age. it just isn't anything to me but my brother enjoys the multi playerI'm actually kinda tired of this name our product kinda stuff. it worries me that a company cannot come up with something on their own. I like to have input in games sure, but if there is a story, i want the developer to make it.thats just me though.

daveydz3,You are right, F.E.A.R. is a game that kind of has "old-school," sort of first-person gameplay...but it is a really good game in my opinion. You didn't say what system you got it for, but just so you know, there are now FREE updates and additional features for F.E.A.R., and those special new features were built exclusively for the Xbox 360...So, hopefully you got the Xbox 360 version.

This is typical Krogan viral marketing, bash the ps3 version of anything and praise the 360 version. The 360 version can't even come close to the PC version, simply because FPS games on a console suck balls when compared with the pc counterparts.
