A BF fansite apparently got sent a BF3 PDF which deatils some of the upcoming sequel's features. The game returns to the near-future setting of BF2, and runs on a BF: Bad Company engine modified, named Frostbite DX -- the DX refers to DirectX 10. There will be eight maps and support for 40 versus 40 online play! Holy cow! There is even talk of a persistent MMO style ranking system so players can uber-customize their avatar.The game wil feature two factions, NATO and MEC (Mid-East Coalition), and it will have the same ticket-based gameplay as before. The maps are mostly urban style, and ther will be squads and commanders present in the game again. With a total of 48, yes 48 different vehicles and 34 different weapons to start, and another 22 unlockable, this game sounds like the best military based FPS to date! Great news, we love BF here at GR!
