Army Of Two Delayed Until 2008 > |

As much as I hate to hear about any title getting delayed, the words echoed by EA's Frank Gibeau should hold true for any publisher. "'Army of Two' has potential to become a lasting EA franchise -- so getting the first title right is essential..." Reuters does mention that the title is still slated for an 'early' 2008 release.

There have been quite a few delays in the last three months of the year...but that doesn't really matter, because the other games that were released on time actually did better than expected.Look at HUGE number of Third-Party games that appear in the Top 10 Best-Seller list each month, mainy due to the strength of the Xbox 360.Wii has games that sell great, but they are mostly First-Party games from Nintendo.Third Party companies love the Xbox 360 more than any other system, because that is where they make all their money and release the highest quality games.
The important thing is that games like Army of Two, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Universe At War, Grand Theft Auto 4, and others will still be released during periods of 2008 that will keep us very happy! In all honesty, I don't think some of the companies wanted to release their games during the same time that new games like Bioshock, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Assassins Creed, and Mass Effect are being released. When kids ask their parents for Christmas presents during Holiday Shopping season, the though of asking for: Halo 3, Bioshock, Orange Box, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty 4, Forza Motorsport 2, and so many others would seriously make me a HAPPY CAMPER!!! Especially when you consider that parents would probably want to buy games like Scene-It on their own for themselves!
