Microsoft Adds Points Gifting Ability - US Accounts Only >

Following in the footsteps of Nintendo; Microsoft has added the ability to "gift" Microsoft Points to another users Windows Live ID/GamerTag. How long until we see people betting Microsoft Points being bet over a game of Madden or NHL? Not long I'm sure.

The thing that I find VERY ANNOYING about Xbox Live is the price of the items that are not even in High-Definition.

For example, look at all the hundreds of shows that cost 160 Microsoft Points (about $2), but are only 24 minutes long...and NOT in high definition.

There is NO WAY that I would consider paying $2 for only 24 minutes of entertainment...that is INFINITELY MORE EXPENSIVE than my normal cable company!

Microsoft, lower those progam costs to about 40 Microsoft Points for shows that currently cost 160 Points, and then I will consider ordering some of them.

I remember paying 15 bucks for 3 guitarhero songs (I really wanted them) but still, fuck you Microsoft

For real, Krogan. Especially when most of the shows are available on DVD, which you can find used at EB/GameStop for half their normal price.

I agree with each of you...

Microsoft, seriously, you need to cut the prices of those Xbox Live shows BIGTIME!!!

Reduce those prices from about 160 Microsoft Points per show to about 40 Micosoft Points per show...and then I will consider buying some of them.

And if you were to include deals like, "Buy two episodes for 40 Points each, then you get one free." then that would motivated me to buy something.

For now, I'm not WASTING my money buying stuff at those inflated prices!!!...and my friends and fellow gamers agree with me!

Response to daveydz3:

I think that is a great present. This is further confirmation that you are an unselfish person who is a team-player.

Take care, daveydz3. You are a good guy!

You get to keep the show once you download it. Yours forever and stuff. So if you think about it in terms of ownership and compare it to a DVD it is a crapload cheeper. Movies which you do not own after you are done with it would be more accurately compared to a Video Rental Store. So, you telling me you never go to a Blockbuster or a Hollywood, ever? XBL is cheaper than them and I dont have to go out in the rain.

But hey, its Microsoft... evil, right?
