Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, when speaking to Gamespot, has ruled out Virtual World MMO play on the Wii."The virtual-world services out there now still aren't at a place where we'd like to join in," said Iwata. "And certainly not to the point that we'd want to jump into competition with everybody else. We'd rather focus on doing things that nobody else would do."The big question is where does this leave Animal Crossing for the Wii? The latest rumors had the game pegged as an MMO! We guess this is not the case, folks. Expect something completely different, it seems.
