	According to Microsoft, Euro Xbox360 sales have "more than doubuled" since the price cut hit in mid-March. The console has an attach rate of seven games per console, compared to 3.8 for the PS3. This is according to MS, of course, and seven games per console is an almost unheard of attach number. Then again, the PS3 simply does not have the games to attach. >Link

Microsoft experienced North American hardware shortages that were far beyond expectations, mainly due to the huge level of success that has been seen in Europe as a result of this price drop.

Originally, Microsoft said the Xbox 360 would experience hardware shortages in North America only for January and February, which is exactly what happened. However, when it came time for Microsoft to make a decision as to "where" they were going ship the next batch of Xbox 360 systems, the European market was considered most important. This proves what Microsoft was saying about Europe being their primary target in 2008.

I have had a theory for quite a while now that Microsoft will lower the price of the North American Xbox 360 systems right around the time that Grand Theft Auto 4 is released. When that price drop occurs, the Xbox 360 will sales will see similar forms of increase in North America.
