FTC Still Not Comfortable With EA Take 2 Buyout Offer >
2008/04/17 13:06:44: Posted by DM
EA has now received a second request from the Federal Trade Commission for information regarding its takeover bid for Take Two. Apparently, the FTC is not totally convinced that the resulting game company would constitute a break in anti-trust law. It certainly would make the biggest interactive entertainment corporation in the world, and what that means for consumers alone, is anyone's guess. More than likely nothing good, though. The deadline for Take Two to accept the EA offer is rapidly approaching, come April 18. EA has extended the deadline once already though, and will likely do so again. It seems they are dead set on acquiring T2. Stay tuned.
