	OXM UK recently interviewed Mark Rein, the well known main PR man for Epic. Well, the interview is pretty run of the mill except for one thing. Rein said: And you know, there might be a little Gears Of War 2 related surprise on the disc of Unreal Tournament 3. That's all I'm saying about that. Wowsa, could we be talking demo? If it's a playable character from Gears the ps3 already has that.

teaser i'd say, and the ps3 version has a better looking version of masterchief.

Id say its any kind of character and any kind of modfied maps, PS3 will accept it... since it has hard drive, and if players dont have same as you, then they download within small files... almost like any other online games for PC...

Microsoft has already said that they could legally stop Master Chief and other characters they own from appearing in PS3 games, but Microsoft said that they willingly choose not to, because having those Xbox 360 exclusive characters in PS3 games is a form of publicity. When PS3 owners see Master Chief or other Xbox 360 characters in a game, Microsoft is 100% correct when they say that it makes the PS3 owner envious of the Xbox 360 hardware and software.

Like Microsoft points out, there are no PS3 characters in any Xbox 360 games...becuase the PS3 doesn't have anything to be envious of. And that really is a fact that cannot be debated against.

First of all its a made up character from map editor, so no MS doesn't have a right like Marvel didn't, when they tried to sue a company for having a game called "HERO" and they lost, the reason is, creating a character , you can create in pieces, and because of that , any character can be created...

So no MS has no right, but they can say oh its okay to have it, because they wana look good...

Second of all you mention that PS3 characters is not on Xbox360 , that because my friend xbox doesn't have hard drive for to have any modify character, maps, vehicles and so on,

Microsoft Game Studios published characters can be used for non-profit use as part of their Game Content Usage Rules. This allows fans to create mods like the UT3 Master Chief legally. So basically MS couldn't do anything about it if they wanted to.

Basically anything good that comes out for the 360 version will be modded to be on the ps3 version and there is nothing MS can do about any of it. The ps3 version has unlimited potential while the 360 version is extremely limited and 360 owners will have to PAY for any new maps/characters that come out in the form of DLC.

However 360 owners...don't be sad. This is a great game and you will really enjoy it.

Microsoft talked about this on other websites. If they wanted to, they could stop their characters from being used in other games. They specifically said they allow those characters to stay, though, because it is an excellent source of publiclity for Xbox 360 games.

The Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3 is by far the best for people who don't have access to high-speed Internet.

For people who do have access to high-speed Internet, there is no doubt that the PC version offers the best performance at the lowest price.

But, we need to look at the numbers. Unreal Tournament 3 has not sold well at all. And the reason for that is because it didn't receive any sort of impressive review scores. Ratings of 7 and 8 out of 10 are fine, but certainly not anything special.

Krogan UT3 for the ps3 has gotten 100s, 90s, and 80s. You can't get much better than that. Also the sales for UT3 are actually really good. Once again fanboy rhetoric shines through.

Also as stated in my previous Post the MS legal team has stated they really can't do anything about the Gears and Masterchief mods. They would if they could, but they can't. Also...the Ps3 is the choice for gamers that want unlimited potential via mods instead of being forced to pay for 1-2 maps and characters via extra DLC.

Anyway...please don't let this news make you sad Krogan...just go enjoy a GREAT GAME.

Do you even remember Marvel, they tried to stop and they lost, later on Marvel got sued for damages of publicity and disrespectful. MS doesn't wana take that steps, because you really can't win,

(1) I already HAVE BEEN "enjoying" what is BY FAR the BEST version of Unreal Tournament 3--the PC version!

The PC version runs at TWICE the framerate as the Playstation 3 version, and has over twice the resolution!...and the PC version costs $10 less!

(2) dudeman, I fully agree with you that Unreal Tournament as sold "really good." On a grading scale that would be in the upper 70's in terms of a percentage. So, that is respectable, it is really good, but certainly not "excellent" like games such as Gears of War, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, ect...

(3) dudeman and blacktiger, it appears we have read different stuff about the Master Chief thing in UT3...I read a detailed interview about, but it seems you don't care. That doesn't matter anyways; it wasn't part of the point I was trying to make. Regardless of whether or not Microsoft could have done something legally, it is STILL an excellent form of publicity for Xbox 360 characters...that is why Microsoft said they would never allow someone like Mario to be in their games.

Can you imagine how Wii sales would increase 100 times beyond current sales if Mario was genetically re-engineered and appeared in Halo or Gears of War??? It actually helps Xbox 360 sales when Master Chief appears in other games.
