PC Play magazine has published an interview they conducted with Cevat Yerli, the president of Crytek, which is well known for Far Cry and Crysis. Apparently, the company is suffering bigtime from the piracy that Crysis is being hit with on PC, and it has hurt them to not have the game on the home consoles to help offset this. Good news for console users, and a hard lesson learned by Crytek. To the degree PC Gamers that pirate games inherently destroy the platform. Similar games on consoles sell factors of 4-5 more. It was a big lesson for us and I believe we wont have PC exclusives as we did with Crysis in future. We are going to support PC, but not exclusive anymore.”
