New Wii Update Patches 'Twilight' Hack, Bricked Wiis? Image >
2008/06/17 1:54:14: Posted by DM
Well it seems the latest Nintendo Wii console update makes the "Twilight Hack" obsolete. People were using this exploit to run homebrew code on the system, and apparently Nintendo has had enough. The update also made it so you can now move your Miis into your Mii Parade. Rumor mill until we get a few more confirmations, but apparently, users are saying Freeloader is now useless. Check the link below for the image to read the message for yourself that the console gives before the update, and do not update if you run homebrew until this information is more widely understood and verified! There are reports of consoles becoming useless after the update.

Reports my ass, this just stops you from copying hacked savegames for known games to the consoles memory. It doesnt get rid of any homebrew channels and it certainly doesnt brick any consoles.
