	The Microsoft E308 Press Conference is about to begin, and we will update this space with any breaking news from the event. You can catch any of the live streams online at IGN or Gamespot. Click read more for the full coverage. Fallout 3 is shown, the game looks great. There will be a substantial amount of downloadable content for the Xbox360 and Games for Windows version of Fallout 3. Exclusive to those 2 platforms, apparently. Resident Evil 5 is now being shown. it looks great, and they are even showing off the online co-op mode. The release date will be worldwide simultaneous on Friday, March 13, 2009. Now we get to Peter Molyneux and Fable 2. The game will have online co-op as well, of course, and you get a do companion that is apparently very important to the game. fable 2 will be available October of this year. On to Gears of War 2. We start right off with the 2-play co-op mode. Dome and Marcus get to close off a Locust sinkhole. Looks insane. The game will feature a new 5-player co-op mode called Horde, where 5 players take on waves of Locust enemies. The game will be available worlwide on November 7, 2008. The game industry has reached a point where they are the top entertainment category. Estimates indicate over 48billion will be spent in the next year on games. That's more than movies or DVDs. He also announced NBC Universal will be bringing their TV shows to the Xbox360 Marketplace. This includes Heroes, Battlestar, and more. It will be available starting today. Well here we go again, fixing what is not broken. Microsoft is going to change the entire look of the dashboard, and add avatars to the system. The Xbox360 OS is going to be completely "reinvented". The entire Xbox360 dashboard will be based around you and your avatar. It will be totally different. Sheesh. Great announcements for the Live Arcade. Geometry Wars 2 and Portal: Still Alive will be exclusive to the Xbox360 Live Arcade. Next month we will see GW2, and it will even feature an online co-op mode. We also wil be getting the first true sequel to Galaga in 20 years, Galaga Legions. Great games, the XBLA should be hot next month. One more coming to XBLA, a South Park based game. On top of it all, Netflix is partnering with Xbox Live to virtualy double the Xbox Live media selection. The best part? You can share your Netflix movies with your Live Party, nomatter where they are. They are now showing off a make-your-own-movie game on Live that seems cheesy to hardcore gamers, but it will sell like hotcakes to families, mark our words. It actually is pretty cool. Now we are hearing from teh Guitar hero creator, he is explaining the new features of World Tour. There will be a new create and share feature in the game, and there will be a new premiere community for aspiring musicians to talk to each other. There will also be Metallica added to the song roster and will launch their new album theu GH. MS game studios is also launching anew game called Lips. You can plug in any of your own music and sing to it. What a great idea, took someone long enough to do it. The game will feature motion-sensitive wireless mics that light up with your performance. It will ship this Holiday season. In case you missed it before, just to remind you, Rock Band 2 is a timed exclusive to the Xbox360 this September. Probably for about 6 months or so. The game will feature 84 songs. Wow, and they are all original recordings. Bob Dylan and Axl Rose will be debuting songs in Rock ban 2, and AC/DC will be appearing for the first time in a video game in Rock Band 2. Great news is that all the downloadable and original songs from Rock Band 1 will be playable in RB2. No disc swapping! You can see the official track list on GR here. Now the president of Square Enix is out on the stage, showing off the previously-announced Square RPGs for the Xbox360. last Remnant ships on November 8, 2008 worldwide, as well as for Games for Windows. The big Square news? Final Fantasy 13 is coming to the Xbox360. Multiplatform Final Fantasy, it has happened folks, just like we told you. Well, there you have it readers. Everyone else who has at least half a brain: It's obvious Microsoft has already won over the hardcore crows with the 360. Now they are trying to compete with the Wii and PS3 for the casual audience. The hardcore gamer part of me want to tell Microsoft to go to hell. But the family man who has a wife and 4 children is glad that Microsoft is trying to make the 360 casual gamer friendly too.

Im sure the little b!tches like Dudeman and BlackTiger will say Microsoft copied this From Nintendo or Microsoft copied this from Sony, or RROD this, and RROD that.

But the bottom line is they are competing.

Everybody takes stuff from somebody else tries to duplicate and improve it. They call it innovation.

Microsoft is trying to get as many people to buy the 360 as possible. The more consoles in peoples homes the more people will buy games, songs, movies, misc downloadable content, Xbox Live, and hardware accessories. The Netflix deal is HUGE.

In my opinion all 3 companies have brought the videogame industry forward. Because of the fierce competition we now have videogame consoles with HDD's, wireless controllers, force feedback, consoles that have motion controls, consoles that play movies, consoles you can use to download content, consoles that allow you to play online against other people, etc, consoles that will allow you to be a part of a social network, etc...

That was a good conference. But where's the new games. Same old same old. I was hoping for new and different.

The FF13 got me. Wander what the PS3 fanboys will think. With a lower price point then the PS3 M$ can have a chance to push there system in Japan.

Oh sh!t I just finished watching the press conference on IGN. Microsoft just bent Sony over and gave it to them hard without LUBE. Final Fantasy simultaneous ont eh 360. GAME OVER.

You guys forget Sony and Nintendo combined can't spend the kind of money Microsoft can. All you the Playstation Polesmokers tlaking about Final Fantasy never coming to the 360 seemed to have forgot that Final Fantasy was originally on the NES and SNES till the Playstation came out then Square jumped ship. That was the real knockout blow for the N64.

This is what the real problem is for Sony. Microsoft is getting most of the 3rd party support that was exclsuive to Sony last generation with the PS2. They are getting more timed exclusives. Because they launched first they have a larger install base. 360 ownerts actually buy games. With the largest attach ration in the history of videogames. So 3rd parties know most of thier money will be made on the 360 this generation. It costs less to make a game on the 360. It's easier. And they make more money on their investment becuase more people buy the 360 version than the PS3 version.

Ya Sony is in BIG trouble. Microsoft just busted out the king if all "TRUMP" cards. Final Fantasy. Game Over. Not to mention Netflix. That is huge too. IPTV coming. Ya Microsoft is now invading Sony's entertainment market big time...

If that was Microsoft's TRUMP card i have to LOL.

dudeman: I jsut come from N4G. Some of the biggest PS3 fanboys are jumping ship from the PS3 to the 360. They are stunned. All they had was MGS and FF 13. They just lost 1. If more people don't buy MGS4 then it will get ported to the 360. Then what. What does Sony have left. Square is supporting the 360 better than the PS3 this generation. What advantage does Sony have?

MS announcement for the half of the show was pretty much going for PS3, it felt like they had no games comming up, and they made a short run for Gears of War 2 like it wasn't important.
