To be totally honest I don't see anything that'll get me excited to pick up a 360 other then the RPG's... The gameplay footage they played of GoW2 seams very linear unless it's just that part.Lookes amazing tho. Avitars are a rip off from Mii's w/ more clothing.Nintendo should take note of this tho, they need to add more options to their Miis. The other big games are comming to PS3 so I don't see this event beating out what the other 2 have to offer,but only time will tell as the other 2 only have a few days to show off what they got.

I must say tho, the only big news is FFXIII comming to 360 but even that isn't that big a deal. All these 360 fanboys all over the net are creaming there pants screaming "WE WON THE WAR!"....

i agree with Cybercell... that same claim of victory came when Paramount and Dreamworks went HD-DVD exclusive. all that deal did was make me wait until this September to get Transformers on blu-ray.

if anything, MS's news day is gonna make it very interesting from now on. i'm definately into what Sony has for tomorrow, and hopefully both sides become even more competitive that better quality products come out on both sides.

Gamers Reports is showing the Japanese with Japanese text! NOBODY here cares about that, because we CAN'T read Japanese!

Gears of War 2 - Gears of War 2 is AWESOME! The graphics of GoW2 on the Xbox 360 look even BETTER than GoW on the most advanced PC graphics card!

Also, there will be a really cool Five-Player Co-Op mode in Gears of War 2! Five players is just enough that it doesn't get messed up with too many voices!

Fable 2 - AWESOME form of RPG that fans of the original are waiting for! This isn't a Japanese style RPG. This is a true next-gen RPG! Xbox 360 has EVERY base in the RPG genre covered!

Rock Band 2 - has a HUGE amount of songs. If you bought the first Rock Band and want more use out of those instruments, Rock Band 2 will keep you busy. Also, Rock Band 2 will be released FIRST on the Xbox 360!

Fallout 3 - Bethesda announced that ONLY the Xbox 360 and PC would receive exclusive downloadable content...Once again, the PS3 is left out.

Resident Evil 5 - Resident Evil is Capcom's most successful franchise ever, selling even better than Street Fighter 2. Resident Evil 5 is VERY IMPORTANT!

Banjo Kazooie - This is the sort of game in the genre of Platform / Family / Party that plays a KEY role in helping a console achieve VICTORY! Sure, shooting games like Halo and Gears of War are super important, but if the games in niche genres such as RPG, Party, Platform, and Real-Time Strategy aren't there, the system CANNOT win the sales race.

For example, Playstation 3 has been available for nearly two years and it still has ZERO games available in the Real-Time Strategy genre.

Viva Pinata 2 - The first Viva Pinata game was very successful. This is a niche genre that keeps a lot of kids and females happy. The success of the Wii proves that a constant flow of genres like this are needed to be a sales winner.

Infinite Undiscovery - This is the Japanese-style RPG game that is receiving the most attention of all in Japan. This is a game that has been announced for the Xbox 360, but NOT the Playstation 3...even in Japan! This RPG game will help boost Xbox 360 sales in Japan BIGTIME. Thanks to Infinite Undiscovery we know that the Xbox 360 has at least one more month of outselling the PS3 in Japan in its destiny.

Star Ocean - Same thing here! Xbox 360 has a constant flow of Japanese RPG games! And this one is coming to Japan! Likely another month that the Xbox 360 outsells the PS3 in Japan.

The Last Remnant - Same thing as above. Likely another month the Xbox 360 outsells the PS3 in Japan.

Final Fantasy XIII - This is a big announcement that people in North America, Europe, and Asia are very excited about! This is pretty much 100% confirmation that the "war" between the Xbox 360 and the PS3 is "over." Or as we say in video game terms:

The reason "why" English speaking people KNOW that this is GAME OVER for the Playstation 3 is because time after time after time the PS3 has lost exclusive games to the Xbox 360.

Games that were supposed to be PS3 exclusives often ended up being released FIRST and BEST for the Xbox 360!

The loss of Final Fantasy 13 is the nail in the coffin! That was one of two games that was always supposed to be a third-party exclusive.

What's worse is that EVERYONE in the industry knows that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be released for the Xbox 360 with extra missions not found in the PS3 version. MGS4: Guns of the Patriots will still be "exclusive" to the PS3, but the game WILL be released for the Xbox 360, using a different subtitle.

xbox 360 is such an EPIC FAIL in Japan that they won't even release ff 13 there. Hilarious....360 hasn't had a good exclusive since Halo 3 and they are nutting all over themselves because they get to play ff13 JUST LIKE THE OWNERS OF THE PS3. Couldn't be more pathetic.

Not to mention the 360 version is going to majorly rushed due to a short development timespan. It isn't even going to get 1 minute of development time until FF13 is complete in Japan on the PS3. The 360 version is going to be soooo gimped.

The thing that made the PS1 and PS2 so popular was that they had the "MOST" games by far of any console in both previous generations. According to NPD charts at Microsoft's press conference the PS3 sold 1 Billion dollars worth of software in the US. 90% of that was 3rd party software. Sounds like somebody still needs 3rd party developers if y9ou ask me...

Firmware Update 2.4 revealed that ALL MODELS of the Playstation 3 have defects in them. I experienced a problem with my Playstation 3 where I needed to send the ENTIRE SYSTEM back to Sony. It was necessary to completely reformat the ENTIRE hard drive! ALL of my files were gone, and it takes HOURS to put them back!

We can only hope that future Firmware updates from Sony don't have similar problems...although they likely will.

==Final Fantasy 13 games will have BETTER GRAPHICS on Xbox 360 ==

Gamespot has had a Graphics Comparison between the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 each year that both systems have been on the market. Each of the three years (2006, 2007, 2008) the Xbox 360 has easily defeated the Playstation 3.

Graphics have been either "noticably" or "significantly" better with Xbox 360 versions of software. Games such as Orange Box, F.E.A.R, and the Rainbow Six: Vegas games look "significantly" better on the Xbox 360, so much so that they actually appear to be running on hardware from different generations.

For example, look at the Dragon boss in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, and you see a perfect example of how the Xbox 360 can display far more polygon detail than the Playstation 3. It is almost as if you are comparing a high-end PC graphics card (the Xbox 360) to a low-end PC graphics card (the PS3).

With this in mind, it is SAFE to BET that the Xbox 360 versions of the Final Fantasy 13 games will be just like the other multi-platform games, which result in either noticably better or significantly better performance on the Xbox 360.

==Final Fantasy 13 games are ALREADY IN DEVELOPMENT for the Xbox 360==

It is a FACT that the Final Fantasy 13 games have been in development for the Xbox 360 for quite a while now. The Xbox 360 version will NOT be "rushed" in ANY way. The ONLY part of Final Fantasy 13 games that will NEED to wait until the Japanese version is completed before "porting" takes place is the LANGUAGE part of the game.

The reason for this is because the STORY part of Final Fantasy 13 is still in development. Until the final version of the Final Fantasy script is complete, the developers have NO IDEA what to "port."

However, as far as technical aspects go, with graphic programming, and sound programming, the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy 13 games has been in development for quite a while!

It's also important to remember that Final Fantasy 13 games are still less fairly early in development. The Xbox 360 version will be in development side-by-side from this point on. And the Xbox 360 is much easier to develop for than the Playstation 3.

Considering that the Xbox 360 has beaten the Playstation 3 in Gamespot's Graphic Comparison each of the three years that the comparison has taken place, it is very SAFE to BET that the Xbox 360 versions of the Final Fantasy 13 games will have better graphics on the Xbox 360.

Losing "exclusive" games has been something that Sony has specialized in this generation. Look at some of the games that were called PS3 "exclusives," but were launched for the Xbox 360:

Devil May Cry 4, Fight Night Round 3, Assassins Creed, Virtua Fighter 5, Fatal Inertia 3, Unreal Tournament 3, Final Fantasy 13, and many others.

Some of the ones that were announced as PS3 exclusives actually were released on Xbox 360 FIRST. Others were originally announced as a PS3 exclusive, yet were released on Xbox 360 first and announced as being CANCELLED for the Playstation 3!

Xbox 360 is the system that now receives exclusive games from companies like Square Enix. Consider:

Infinite Undiscovery is being released exclusively for the Xbox 360...all over the world, even in Japan.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope is being released exclusively for the Xbox 360...all over the world, even in Japan.

The Last Remnant is being released as a timeed exclusive for the Xbox 360, all over the world, even in Japan. In reality, the reason this one is a "timed exclusive" is because the Playstation 3 is so difficult to develop for and the Xbox 360 version is so easy to develop for. The Xbox 360 version will be finished a lot sooner!

When you consider that the PS3 has been outsold by the Xbox 360 during certain weeks, it's an excellent example that shows the PS3 has failed in Japan, too. There are very few OWNERS of the Playstation 3 in Japan. Even Next-Gen pointed out that Metal Gear Solid 4 was NOT the "hardware mover" that Sony hoped for. MGS4 only helped PS3 sales in Japan for a short period of time.

People are happy that the Final Fantasy 13 games are coming to the Xbox 360 for the following reasons:

(1) There are virtually no quality third-party exclusives being released for the Playstation 3.

(2) Playstation 3 is in the EXACT same position that the Sega Saturn was in 1997...there is virtually NO EXCLUSIVE THIRD-PARTY SUPPORT!

(3) Xbox 360 has LOTS of exclusive third-party support!

(4) Xbox 360 owners are happy because we get to play Final Fantasy 13 games in ways that Playstation 3 owners do NOT!

For example, we get to play Final Fantasy 13 games, and then have a choice of OTHER games from Square Enix, such as Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean.

Now the Xbox 360 don't need to buy any other system in order to play all their favorite RPG games from Square Enix...Xbox 360 has it ALL...the same CANNOT be said about the Playstation 3.

That is why Final Fantasy 13 games coming to the Xbox 360 were the Final Nail in the Coffin for the Playstation 3.
