E308: Miyamoto Finds Xbox Avatar Idea 'Flattering' >
2008/07/16 16:51:50: Posted by DM
In his legendary classy style, Miyamoto has said he is "flattered" that Microsoft has pinched his Mii idea for the new Xbox360 OS replacement. Instead of complaining, he takes the high road, which is Miyamoto-san, through and through.

"To see that a company like Microsoft has taken something we've done and kind of looked at it in a way and brought it out on their platform to kind of show that we've done has become the standard, I find quite flattering," Miyamoto told IGN.

Microsoft and Nintendo have class, it's the people at Sony that are a bunch of goofs.

kungfurabbit,

It's safe to say that Playstation 3 will finish a very distant third place this generation.

To give you an idea of just how safe it is that the Xbox 360 will finish ahead of the Playstation 3 in terms of worldwide sales, Microsoft PUBLICLY ANNOUNCED that the Xbox 360 would outsell the Playstation 3 worldwide at the press conference!!!

It takes BIG "Krogan-sized" Four-Testicle BALLS to do that type of thing! In order to PUBLICLY do something like that you need to be 100% sure of what you are saying!

Now that Final Fantasy 13 is being released for the Xbox 360, and the Xbox 360 is the primary development platform for Square Enix, it is 100% safe to do what Microsoft did--publicly say that the Xbox 360 will finish ahead of the PS3 in terms of worldwide sales.

I thought that MS stated they would outsell the PS3 in America? ... Not worldwide, even though that is probably going to happen as well.

The PS3 is outselling the 360 everywhere right now....Austrailia, Europe, and month to month in the US in 2008. June will be no different. MS gaining a ' downgraded' port of a ps3 game will make difference. If you think that you are an absolute moron.

Still can't believe they straight up ripped off the Miis.

Truly a sad time to be an xbot.

The PS3 is not in first place anywhere....Australia, Europe, and month to month in the US in 2008 it get's outsold by the Wii. June will be no different. Sony losing the exclusiveness of a major franchise will make a huge difference. If you think that you are an absolute genious.

Still can't believe that Sony straight ripped off Second Life.

Truly a sad time to be a PS3tard

Where the f**k do you see that it's outselling the 360 month to month in the US? I put up a chart on the forums, showing you that it's NOT. Are you really that blind by Sony that you can't tell, or are you just wishing it wasn't true so much that you just believe it yourself now?
Written by dudeman on 2008/07/17

not sure what source you used but your numbers are so inaccurate it screams fanboyism. I used links the last time to own you....even the one's you provided that you apparentlly misread. Sony won Jan,Feb, May, and will win June.

Pimp...ps3 has been outselling 360 in Australia and Europe for quite sometime now and even MS has admitted it. You f**king guys must ride the short bus each morning.

Just replied to your post with the "OFFICIAL NPD" Sales Data. Just a note....i don't ever visit the forums.
Written by SupremeChaotic on 2008/07/17

I see that "OFFICIAL" numbres you posted... and also noticed you posted no citation. Where did you get these numbers? I wasn't afraid to post my source. Why are you afraid to post yours?
Written by dudeman on 2008/07/17

The difference is you use vgchartz numbers and i use official NPD numbers. They are different. VGchartz is not reliable....even krogass will tell you that.

There are multiple sources. If you go to google and type "Month Year NPD" you will find NPD numbers from hundreds of sites and they all will be the same.

VGchartz uses their own system, but NPD is what the industry goes by.
Written by SupremeChaotic on 2008/07/17

Wow... just wow...

VGChartz uses NPD numbers. It strait up tells you that on the site.

Googling "Month Year NPD" will get you all kinds of different numbers.

But way to go on not identifying your source. You've effectively proven yourself to not be credible at all.
Written by dudeman on 2008/07/17

I say NPD is official because after the NPD numbers are released each month Sony, MS, and Nintendo will release official statements concerning these numbers. They do not do this for vgchartz numbers.

For example...sony released this press statement about the official NPD numbers....not the number crunching done by vgchartz
