	Again, more older news making the roudns today. It seems that Square has yet to begin development on the recently announced Xbox360 version of Final Fantasy XIII. Game director Motomu Toriyama revealed that he has been telling his team to “not think about the Xbox 360 [port] right now,” as the studio is still waiting to receive development kits for the system, according to GS. At this point, Square is going to have to delay the North American and Euro PS3 release if they want to have it in line with the Xbox360 edition. >Link

It has already been CONFIRMED that even on the slim chance that the fully optimized version of Final Fantasy 13 for the Xbox 360 was not ready for a release in North America or Europe at the time the PS3 version was, the PS3 version would NOT be released until the Xbox 360 version was ready!

Final Fantasy 13 will be a SIMULTANEOUS release in North America and Europe.

This is the same thing that happened to Grand Theft Auto 4 when the Xbox 360 version was ready to go at the original relase date of October 2007, but the PS3 version was NOT ready. As a result, the game was delayed.

Final Fantasy 13 has NO RELEASE DATE...so there won't even be a "delay." The game will be released SIMULTANEOUSLY when BOTH versions are complete.

Maybe there still waiting for the cheque from M$ to pass.

Well the team needs to get cracking so I can play this game already!

Development won't start until the PS3 version is finished. The chrystal tools are PC based so there should be no delay concerning the 360 version.

Square has already gone on record stating that they will have dedicated teams for both the 360 and ps3 versions, development should take around 6 months to port the game, and they will be the same on both platforms.

If anyone is a true Final Fantasy fan. Then you know it always comes to Japan first and takes 6-9 months to make it to the US and EU with localization. It's standard practice by now.

I am just as eager to play this as everyone else. This isn't an issue with Microsoft or Sony. This is just how Square does Final Fantasy. Been that way for as long as I can remember.

Its ok, they'll just port it to the 360 and always half butt their remakes. But then again, i never did like Final Fantasy.

Microsoft announced yesterday that Asia will also see the release of Final Fantasy 13.

When asked whether or not people from Japan would be able to buy the Asian version, Microsoft did NOT deny the possibility...that is strongly suggests the people of Japan will still be able to play an Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy 13.
