In an industry first, a real life band is simultaneously releasing their album in stores and for download into Guitar Hero III. Metallica, the Napster haters, of all bands, is releasing its Ninth studio album, Death Magnetic, in its entirety, as downloadable content for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock on both the Xbox360 and Playstation 3. The downloadable album even includes two mixes of "Suicide & redemption," made specifically for Guitar Hero III players who like extended solos (hint, hint!). i remember hearing about this a few weeks/months back and as we got closer to the release, i didnt hear anything. thanks for the heads DM, after hearing more of the album, i may still consider this download... sadly, i would've preferred rock band over GH3...

i would like to add that this news contradicts Metallica's first news of debuting their first single(possibly "Day That Never Comes") on Rock Band before the airwaves... i guess Activision really wanted Metallica all for themselves and GH :psource hxxp://www.gamersreports.com/news/7023/metallica-to-debut-new-song-in-rock-band/
