They should have released this game sooner. For PS3 only owners, I highly recommend it. It was great fun on the 360. I'm curious if the demo will be exactly the same.
Written by blacktiger on 2008/09/12

I think this will be a big failure, due to Far Cry2 and LBP !!!
Written by poprocker on 2008/09/12

Bioshock + trophies = WIN
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/12

I really hope the rest of PS3 community doesn't think the same as you blacktiger. Bioshock should not fail on any console it's released on.

Great game, hope those who experience it for the first time enjoy it.
Written by madgunde on 2008/09/12

Thanks Xenos, I'm looking forward to it, and I agree that it probably will do quite well seeing as how huge a success it's been on PC and XBox 360, and how much PR it's gotten. Far Cry and LBP are on my list as well. As usual, it's gonna be an expensive fall season...
Written by Matt on 2008/09/12

I loved this on my PC, I wonder how well it'll transfer to PS3.
Written by poprocker on 2008/09/12

pretty much identical to the 360 version.
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/12

It's a great game regardless, so why should it matter?
Written by blacktiger on 2008/09/12

Xenos, don't get me wrong I played it on 360 it's fun,

didn't get to play long enough though,

But I do have to tell you that it's been out for while so no matter what, it won't feels today's technology, I mean, I'm gonna buy it, because I'm FPS fan, but I dont think people will care much, since newer games are comming out and they are bigger hype too...

for PS3, there is Far Cry 2 and LBP, those are 120 dollars already, and not only that what if people buy Brother in Arms?

I dont know, it sounds expensive,

Look point is, no exclusive game gets same respect after one year release, then it launch on first day release...

Anyways they get lot of attention...
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/12

So wait a second, first you say that Bioshock wont get the same respect (whatever that's supposed to mean) because it's not "today's" technology. Then you go on to list Brothers in Arms as an example of a game people may want to buy instead.

You do realize that they are both built on the same technology right? Bioshock IS today's technology.

Just because you much rather play LPB or Far Cry 2, doesn't mean that the other ps3-only owners can't enjoy this game.

As long as the game gets marketed right, it will get the recognition it deserves regardless of what else comes out on the ps3 this year.
Written by blacktiger on 2008/09/12

Tell me what game got really famous that was exclusive and brough a year later...?

Then you'll know what I'm talking about...?
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/12

"got really famous"??? WTF is that even supposed to mean?

If you mean sell good, well Oblivion sold great on the ps3 even though it was released a year later.
Written by blacktiger on 2008/09/12

Is that it ?

Because to be honest with you,

I see what your saying, I wish I can agree with you but, to be honest with you, no games came out, when Oblivion came out,

You know what, let's hope I'm wrong...

Because there are just too many good games comming out this month and next month...
Written by incoming00 on 2008/09/12

@Xenos, i guess what Blacktiger is trying to say is that it may get over looked by all the newer games coming out. Bioshock had its time to shine on 360 and PC and it may have done too well that PS3 users eventually got it for their 360 or PC...

this opportunity is for those who havent tried it, like me, to appreciate the game. i also agree alot with that you are saying Xenos, that the game itself already has a good reputation that many ps3 users may not pass this up
Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/12

It'll sell well enough on the PS3. All you have to do is check the ps3 fanboy forums (yes, I visit them as well) and you'll see that there is plenty of excitement for this game, as there should be.
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/12

You have a 360 but have not played bioshock incoming? you should be ashaimed of yourself =p

Well I don't care which, but you need to get it for ANY system, it's really a great game.
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/13

PS3 Owners this is a great game. Get it I highly recommend it.
Written by incoming00 on 2008/09/13

@Xenos, i'm not the type of person to jump on the hype wagon unless i find out about a game before it hypes or a game/franchise i really like. i heard about Bioshock and it was everyone hyping the hell out of it. i pretty much looked the other way until it passed by.

if the game is 60 bucks on the PS3, i may just wait til it drops... anyone know how much its gonna cost?
Written by blacktiger on 2008/09/13

it'll cost 59.99

so yea I ddon't blame the ppl that are waiting to drop...
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/13

blacktiger: It's the same price as 360 owners had to pay for this game a year ago. Do PS3 owners do anything besides talking about games? Why don't you support your console and actually buy a game...
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/13

Incomming you have both consoles, why don't you get it for the 360 it should be cheaper if money is a issue.
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/13

B1ueBurneR: He is making excuses. He would prefer to support his PS3 more than his 360. His whole reason for not getting it was because everybody was hyping it. WTF is the logic in that?

Let me ignore a game because everybody likes it???

It's like when my idiot brothers tell me a song is played out. I ask them was it a good song when it first came out. They say ya. Then it's still a good song they just got tired of hearing it all the damn time. I tihnk my borthers are played out.

You know whats really played out on GamersReports B1ue? People who buy all the consoles just so they can pretend they are unbiased, yet through thier words and purchasing habits end up looking like more of a fanboy. I wonder if they can see what everybody else does?

Here and now I will say this. I am totally biased towards my 360. I think it is the "best" videogame console this generation. Just like last generation I thought the Dreamcast was the best. I bought more games for my Dreamcast in it's first year than I did for any of the other consoles during thier whole time I owned them.

I will buy all my multiplatfrom games for the 360 instead of the PS3. I will only use my PS3 for exclusives, Blu-Ray movies, and certain PSN titles...

I will discriminate against the Wii too.

My 360 will get 50% of my gaming money and attention, and the PS3/Wii/DS will get 25%, and my PC will get the other 25%.

I am not afraid to say this. I hope people think I am biased or a 360 fanboy. Because I am.

At least I am willing to put my cards on the table and be honest with myself as well as others. I'm still a gamer at heart but f the Wii and PS3 died the way the Dreamcast did and all the games had to come to the 360 I wouldn't complain...
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/13

Sorry for the rant. I made a thread to address what I just ranted about. Bioshock was fun. Buy it for whatever console you wan't. Wait a year. Wait 2 years. Pay full price. Get it discounted.
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/13

I was only joking when I said he should be ashamed of himself, I didn't mean to create all this.

Also I don't see incoming as a ps3 fanboy, maybe he just doesn't like to go with fads or is hesitant to fall for hyped up games.

I was one of the few who didn't rush out to buy every GTA last gen, and I saw it as extremely over hyped. GTA VC is the only one I picked up for cheap ($15), so I can understand how he feels.

Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/13

Xenos: I never said incoming00 was a PS3 fanboy. He was the one who said it in the past. All I said was he should have just come out and said how he really felt.

If Bioshock had been a PS3 exclusive last year he would have gobbled it up like Pac Man.

He can be a PS3 fanboy. I'm cool with that.

I'm just not cool with the weak excuses or people trying to spin things so they either look unbiased or don't upset somebody.

He should have said "I didn't try it for the 360 because I like my PS3 more, but now that it is on the PS3 I am willing to try it out".

Xenos: I have been here the whole time while you and VaeVictus were gone. If you need any other history facts of GR I would be happy to help out :p
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/13

OOHH OOOH I want some History Facts PimpD, ok here I go... WHO DIED AND MADE YOU KING?
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/13

B1ueBurner: Nobody died. I'm not the king. Just letting Xenos know that incoming00 has professed to being a PS3 fanboy in the past. But if you wan't to act like a "QUEEN B" and start yelling at me like your having premenstrual cramps, we can do this...
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/14

lol let me get some popcorn

Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/14

What does any of this have to do with Bioshock?
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/14

VaeVictus: What does your comment have to do with Bioshock? Exactly. Nothing. So if you wan't people to be on topic, maybe you should show them the way...

On topic: If PS3 owners get Bioshock they won't have to worry about the RROD. But it't gotta suck getting sloppy seconds.
Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/15

Someone should get the sand out of their vajajay.

Want / won't
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/15

VaeVictus: Might I suggest this website for you then. It should help with your dirty little problem.

Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/15

On the contrary, I believe it's some of you guys who may wish to wash the sand away b4 you start making pearls.
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/15

VaeVictus: Says the person who complained about people being off topic, gets it thrown back in his face because he too doesnt discuss the topic, and then proceeds to throw out an insult.

Ya I'm pretty sure your the one that needs to check out that website...

But I'm pretty sure you won't see the hipocracy in your statement: "What does any of this have to do with Bioshock?"

So I can explain it to you sloooooooooooooooooowly. You complained about us not discussing Bioshock. But your comment didn't discuss Bioshock either. Yet you saw fit to leave your comment as if we were doing something wrong and you were doing something right. But you did the same thing we were doing. Thus the double standard.

Thus the suggestion that you use femine products since only women have double standards...
Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/15

I stayed out of the bickering. I made my Bioshock comments in the thread already. Sorry you took my comment as an accusatory comment. I didn't realize it would be so easy to get one's panties in a bunch. I never declared you were doing wrong nor I did anything right?

Double standards? No.

attempt at insult = epic fail
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/15

VaeVictus: You didn't have to declare. Your comment implied everything I wrote. You asked what any of this had to do with Bioshock. I simply told you that your comment had nothing to do with Bioshock either. Then you insulted me. So I insulted you back. Then you insulted me again. Then I insulted you back. And thats your play by play.

Now your backtracking. So you tell me where we stand.
Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/15

I'm actually sitting right now. How about you? I'm debating on whether or not I will rent Bioshock on the PS3 when released or wait until next spring/summer to check it out. Maybe by then the additional d/l will be out.

Your assumptions about my implications are a little misguided. I was enjoying reading the comments until it became an arguefest. I was only trying to give a slight nudge to get the discussion back to Bioshock. I was in no way trying to gain acclaim in being a peacemaker nor was I trying to paint you or B1ue as villains.

It was only a simple, hey guys, let's get back on topic.
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/15

VaeVictus: I'm sitting too. Hey I'm not mad at ya. You should know by now how I roll... I just simply stated that if you wanted us to get back on topic, you should show us the way. Lead by example.

I understand B1ue and I were talking crap to each other. But it was in good fun.

Was it off topic? Yes. But those things tend to happen on GamersReports or any other website. If you noticed right after I responded to your comment I did manage to go on topic. Then you proceeded to go off topic. If I A$$umed incorrectly then I apologize. So lets try this again :p

On topic: I am actually curious to see what a years extra development time brings to Bioshock on the PS3. Does anybody know if it has trophy support and force feedback?
Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/15

Yes to both questions. It also has HOME integration.
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/15

VaeVictus: Well then I guess I can add to my outstanding trophy collection :p

LOL at the Home integration. But I guess it's better to make sure it does work with Home from day 1 in case Home comes out sometime this generation. Rather than trying to add trophy support and in-game XMB later on down the road.

I wonder how long they will be able to sell the PS3 version at $59.00 when the 360 version is already $39.00???

Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/15

I think you can find the 360 version for cheaper actually. I was a bit disappointed to hear it was going to be $59 for that exact reason. I can't see the games being that dissimilar at all to warrant a big price difference. I know Xenos would argue that if 360/PC owners had to pay that, why not have PS3 owners pay that? But for someone like me whose beaten it on the 360 and wouldn't mind a 2nd playthrough on the PS3, $60 is a bit too high with so many other titles hitting. But I guess I'm not the demo their looking at, so I'll just have to wait.
