	If you have applied for PSN HOME Beta but did not receive an invite, check again today. The HOME beta test has been extended and thousands of new emails went out, according to the Sony blog. The test is going well, it seems, and as we have checked out HOME ourselves, we can certainly say it has an appeal for those who enjoy the virtual online thing. Update: This is tagged Sept 19, why Sony sent us the email today, we are not sure. >Link

I don't think it's fair to quite compare Home to Duke Nukem Forever. I've personally played with a beta version and have an online buddy who has as well, and from what we've seen the product is getting quite polished. When it finally does launch, I fully expect it to be a very solid product because they took their time whereas I think Duke Nukem Forever has been scrapped and gone back to the drawing board many times.

It's unfortunate that Sony was overzealous with their ETAs and made commitments that they obviously weren't able to attain. But I think they're doing the right thing by delaying it rather than rushing it. Like so many things, it'll be a better product because of it.

Yeah Madgunde, Sony's biggest issue I think has been putting the carriage before the horse. I like MS's and Nintendo's policies of showing things when they are ready, not two, three or four years out.

It reminds me of Nintendo with N64 and Gamecube !!!

VaeVictus has a legit complaint. Sony loves to hype games 3-5 years in advance. Nobody can use hype the way Sony can. Nobody. How do you think they are able to sell a $600.00 videogame console in the first place???

Seriously, blacktiger, I think what I said may have gone over your head. I like seeing news on games, but waiting for 3 years before something comes out is ridiculous. We've had 2 RFoM's, 2 Gears of Wars, 2 Motorstorms since the E3 05 Killzone 2 trailer. Enough said.

Oh, and HOME has been delayed more times than I care to count.

if you think about it, delay probably won;t hurt gamers, even if it does, it hurts SONY more than anyone because its sony' money on the table!

So delay to me is just matter of time,

they say they gonna change a plan,

they say they gonna delay,

they say they gonna cancel.

they all have commons, its hurting the devlopers and publishers, not gamers...

So if they delay, it may be good for us, but hey im not arguing because i never put down the money, so its all good !

But when you say they don't release it on time, it doesn't make any sense,

delaying is what Nintendo kept the best developers of all time and now SONy is taking the same steps...

Notice all their games are looking great.

but to be honest with you, as a gamer i hate delay, amd of course I don't blame the gamers, but when I do get them, it's always a promise game !

Thats why I used to be a fan Nintendo, I never argued one bit!, because every single game was amazing !

What I dont understand is you guys arguing about Killzone taking 4 years of developement, and still looks good with E3 critics,

But not arguing about TOO HUMAN with close to 10 year development, and its not even close to good.

BlackTiger: You cant compare Too Human to Killzone 2. Too Human started development on the PS1. Your 10 years of development is not 10 years on the 360.

Plus KZ2 was shown at E3 2005 as a CGI demo. So the hype KZ2 built up is far beyond anything we expected from Too Human. I happened to like Too Human. It's not a fps/tps like KZ2 is, so how the games even compare is beyond me.

Who is mad about the PS3 delaying games? Not me. I have all 3 consoles, so I have more than enough games to keep me busy. Plus a PC and a DS if I so choose. How am I being a fanboy? I didn't really see blacktiger lashing out or attacking anyone directly, he's just expressing his opinion and he's welcome to it. I can understand where he's coming from. Sure delays suck and Sony has a reputation this generation (and maybe last, I don't know, didn't follow the PS2). But as long as they deliver the games and they live up to the promise (aka hype), then it's all good. If you know Sony's dates aren't good, then it's easy enough to just take them with a huge grain of salt. We don't play PR, or dates. We play games. I also recognize that blacktiger's English writing skills are not the strongest, so he may be having some difficulty expressing what he really means clearly, so I don't take everything he writes at face value.

Heres the difference between you and I. If Microsoft made CGI demo's and tried to pass them off as in game footage almost 4 years before the actual release date I wouldnt be trying to defend them.

Where as if Microsoft did this same practice as Sony is doing now, you would just use it as ammo for disliking the 360 even more...

ive seen killzone for three years, infamous for two, white knight for two, MAG is probably another two years away, so to is DC universe, heavy rain is probably a year or two away, GT is still another year away despite the fact that we have seen it since before the launch of the ps3.

Gears of War 2 is the only game that looks decent but the rest...
