2008/09/26 16:22:09: Posted by DM
We knew it would do well, but this is certainly a bit of a surprise. EA's new MMO, Warhammer Online, has had over 500k players register in just under a week. This apparently makes the game the fastest-selling new MMO of all time. Of course, to breach the hold that the juggernaut Warcraft has on the MMO community, it has a long way to go, but this is a great start. Then again, Age of Conan started out strong too. I've taken a break from MMOs for awhile. After Vanguard and Age of Conan both being disappointments day one, I figure I'd just wait before jumping on these time sinks. The only luck I had personally (at the time) was with EQ2. I guess that's why I bought a PS3 last month.
