my thumbs will not be able to reach the top row comfortably

Too pricey for my tastes. When someone runs it on sale (which will happen, inevitably) for $20-25 US I 'MAY' look into it. I spend more of my time playing than texting. I wear my bluetooth if I need to communicate in game that much.

how much is 25EU in american dollar?

Is there a way to connect it to the bottom of the controller? That may help my issues with the controller being too small, having more to grab on to.

Literally by the exchange rate its about $31.50, it looks awkward though like the 360 version is.

$30 isn't bad at all IMO. The chatpad for the 360 is $30, but it comes with an extra headset.

@nemesis, the chatpad for the 360 isn't awkward at all. IMO the 360 is a bit small for my taste and the chatpad adds more to the controller and it feels better with it on. I'll never go back to texting the old way again.

So any word if this could be hooked up to the bottom of the controller?

We'll see what happens, but right now i just don't need this for the ps3. perhaps in the future...

I can text twice as fast on the ps3 vs the 360 due to the virtual keyboard layout and autocomplete. For that reason the 360 chatpad was justified. So...we'll see i guess....

Xenos: No. It is hooked up to the top of the controller. Thats the problem with the PS3 msg pad.

That's a good point poprocker. I hate the fact that xbl doesn't have a virtual qwerty keyboard. Throw in autocomplete like you mentioned, and this attachment is not necessary. Besides, you can just hook up a real keyboard if you really need to text that much.
