Enemy Territory: Quake Wars PC Info & Great Looking Screens >
2006/01/13 22:16:49: Posted by DM
ID has released some new screens from the upcoming multiplayer game Enemry Territory: Quake Wars. The game looks great, in fact it is likely the best looking game to come out of the ID development team in a long time. The game is still built on the Doom3 engine, but it has been tweaked to the max. This outdoor multiplayer game that includes vehicles and many other forms of transportation is doing well said Westwood. Apparently one of the key changes is the addition of the "megatexture," something that Carmack himself came up with. It is basically a way to cover 32,000 pixels square with one trexture. This translates into entirely unique landscape from start to end. Finally, this may be the game that puts ID back on the map. They are innovating once again, thankfully. Looks sweet, i'm sure the gameplay will hold up just like the first enemy territory game. hopefully 360 will get a release.
