The Playstation blog has the information on the upcoming 2.60 Playstation 3 firmware update. The firmware update is mainly to improve the PS3's media capabilities. A new photo gallery application will be added, and you can create slideshows set to music as well. It also ads Divx 3.11 support and guest access to the PS store.

Seriously, this could have waited and been rolled into a bigger update later, but I suppose if you use your PS3 to playback Divx video, you'll welcome this.
