It seems that Square has finally given in to the XBLA and announced plans to release several games for the Arcade in the coming year. Crystal Defenders, a port of the popular mobile phone strategy game, will be heading to WiiWare, PSN and the XBLA first. On top of that, Yosumin, a port of the cult DS puzzler, will be released this Spring on the 360, complete with multiplayer mode. The Japanese press release from Square, according to the translation, stated that "beginning with these two games, Square Enix plans to release a steady stream of its popular titles, as well as original content, on Xbox Live Arcade." There may even be plans to release some version of Final Fantasy IV, according to 1UP. No plan have been announced for Western releases of the games, but we are sure it is forthcoming.
