Revamped Need For Speed Series Launches In Spring > |
2009/01/30 11:41:37: Posted by DM | |
EA has revealed that the Need for Speed series will be rebooted this year, starting in Spring. They will launch separate core, casual, and 'play 4 free' games, it seems. Need for Speed: Shift will launch on PC, Xbox360, PS3, and PSP this Autumn, along with Need for Speed: Nitro on the Wii and DS. Need for Speed: World Online will be released to the Asian online PC market this Summer, with a North American debut in Winter. Shift will focus on simulation racing, with realistic care motion, driver behavior, and more. Less Hip-hoppy, if you will. Need for Speed: Online will use the "play 4 free" model, and will let players pick and customize their choice of licensed cars and race them online. Sounds like a very ambitious project, but if anyone can pull it off, EA can.
