Sonic Creator Says Sega Should Have Pursued Hardware > |

Former Sega creative man and the head of Sonic Team Yuji Naka admitted that he was against Sega abandoning hardware up until the very last minute. He admits Sega would have probably gone bankrupt if they did not make the move, but he said he also felt like "what the hell - we should have given it a go." Apparently Naka really enjoyed the hardware side of things. Naka's love of the Dreamcast even carried over to his new studio, he chose orange as the corporate color. We love the Dreamcast as well, one of the most underrated consoles of all time.

Both Yu Suzuki and Yuji Naka played a large part in the design of the dreamcast, so it's no surprise to how he feels about it. It won't happen, but if Sega re-entered the hardware market and launched it with Shenmue 3, I'd be in gaming nervana.
