According to a site named Ripten, a source has informed to them that Metal Gear Solid, the game that started it all on the original Playstation, may be coming to the Xbox Live Arcade. Of course, no confirmation of any sort is given, but Konami did bring their other PSX masterpiece, Castlevania: SOTN, to the arcade, so it seems possible. Rumor mill for now.

Sony Pictures Entertainment revealed about a year ago that it would be turning the MGS series into a movie. Sony then went silent.. until now apparently. ComingSoon has broken the silence and revealed that the director of the cult favorite Christian Bale movie Equilibrium, Kurt Wimmer, is going to be heading up the MGS movie project. Good news for us all, especially since Uwe is far-uwe! Ha.

According to Dtoid, the latest issue of Nuts Magazine has an interview with Christian Bale. In the interview he reveals he is shooting for the role of Solid Snake in the upcoming film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid. We must say, he is certainly a decent choice for the role. The movie might come of well too, if Uwe stays away.

At the last ever E3, Konami revealed that a Metal Gear Solid movie was in the works, and that they were in talks with a major Hollywood studio. Well, the studio turned out to be none other than Sony. No real surprise there considering Sony and Konami have been close for years. Besides the upcoming World of Warcraft film in the works over at WB, the MG film will be one of the highest profile game to film adaptations in the near future. One final note, Sont has hinted that the MGS movie is just the beginning.

EGM: Will the gameplay look as good as the trailer? It's real-time, right?

Hideo Kojima: Yes, it is real-time, made with nearly final PS3 tools. My staff put a lot of time into, but you still see a little glitching going on. Hopefully, we should be able to fix all of that.
