Gamasutra has a great breakdown posted today of the attach rate for first and third party game for all three next-gen consoles. The Wii takes the cake for the first-party titles, which is no surprise, Nintendo games are always the best. The third-party attach winner is the Xbox360, although it is only by less than one game. You can see the charts for yourself, it is a great article.

Half of the things MS wanted to include in the New Xbox Experience had to apparently be cut, according to what Europe's Xbox Live Boss told CVG. MS's Jerry Johnson said that the new 360 OS is not going to be finished come launch day, so we can expect many new features to be added via updates in the coming months. No real surprise there, but good news nonetheless.

President of Epic Games, Dr. Michael Capps, spoke with GI, and stated that he thinks Microsoft is winning the battle of the online space due to Xbox Live and the company's policy of "adding cool stuff." With the release of the New Xbox Experience on November 19, the lead should be even clearer, even though some say it is a direct bite of Sony's and Nintendo's avatar schemes. Even so, he said Epic cannot take full advantage of this fact because their schedule is simply too full. A good thing for gamers, we suppose.

"It's tough, because we really wanted to - and obviously, being first party we work very closely with their tech teams, but they were finishing it after we were locking down a lot of our core feature sets, so we could only do so much," he explained.

Apparently, when the New Xbox Experience goes live on November 19, users with NetFlix accounts will be able to stream movies to the Xbox360 in HD. This is actually the first platform that will allow streaming of fully HD movies. Even NetFlix's own website does not do this. Of course, a great connection will likely be required, but this is certainly cool news.

The demo for the much anticipated Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo weighs in at 1.07gb, so start grabbing it now. Also, Major Nelson sends word that the e-mails for those who got accepted to the New XBox Experience Preview Program started going out a little while ago. If you do not have it by tomorrow, chances are you missed the cut.

Yesterday, Major Nelson announced a preview program for the New Xbox360 Experience (the new dashboard). Think beta test, more or less. Well, it seems the slots filled up faster than Major thought, and as an update to the original post, Nelson has posted that the slots are now all taken. Microsoft now has to choose from the thousands of applicants, who will be lucky enough to preview the new Dashboard OS and features. Good luck if you applied.

Fallout 3 has been canceled by MS India because of growing concerns over "cultural sensitivity." There is apparently a bit of content that MS did not specify, which they believe could offend consumers in India. MS was set to publish the Xbox360 title itself in the region, with the PS3 and PC versions not getting a release in the region at all.

"Microsoft constantly endeavours to bring the best games to Indian consumers in sync with their international release," said the company in a statement, reported by Gaming Indians. "However, in light of cultural sensitivities in India, we have made the business decision to not bring Fallout 3 into the country."

Microsoft has announced a delay in the launch of its Xbox Live Primetime program. If you remember, this is the series of games and contests for real world prizes, as well as a new way to watch TV together. The program will definitely miss the launch of the new Xbox Experience OS on November 19, and may not make this year. This is in order to ensure a "smooth launch" of the Primetime program, says Microsoft. Well, hopefully by next Spring MS will have the bugs worked out.
